Events & Projects
Current:
- We strive to build bridges with other groups on campus in order to provide a healthy study environment and provide service to the community.
- We are currently raising funds for obtaining a Defibrillator for the Hospital on the Island. We hope to inshallah donate the defibrillator by end of April 2007.
- By the will of Allah, we plan to continue raising funds for community necessities
Previous:
- We have successfully raised enough money to donate an air conditioner to the Laura Lindsay Daycare Center. (July 7th, 2006)
- We held a movie night featuring, Muhammad: Legacy of a Prophet (June 23rd, 2006)
- The Eid-ul Adha (the celebration of Prophet Abraham’s sacrifice and for pilgrims) school dinner was a success with the presence of several students and faculty. We set-up a Dawah (Islamic information) booth at this dinner to invite non-Muslims to learn more about Islam. Thank you to all those who attended and especially those who helped make it possible. (Mar 10th, 2006)
- The Eid-ul Fitr (the celebration after the month of fasting) school dinner was also a huge success. In addition to a Dawah booth, the MSA also had a Henna (hand-painting) booth, where we charged $5/hand and donated that money to aid victims of the earthquake in South Asia. (Nov 10th, 2006)
