About us
SUSOM MSA is a club funded by the Student Government Association of Saba University. The MSA at Saba struggles to accommodate and encourage the learning and practice of traditional Islam. In accomplishing this, we hold several halaqa's (Islamic educational workshops) where we discuss issues regarding our daily struggles in nurturing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Apart from being a spiritual and social outlet, the MSA at Saba strives to support humanity both locally and abroad. At the local level, the MSA is involved in community service. Globally, the MSA has successfully raised over $300 for the South Asian earthquake relief. We look forward to continuing our community involvement in the near future.
Many Islamic services have been made available on the island of Saba due to the growing number of Muslims. The grocery store in the Bottom (My Store) sells Islamically slaughtered (zabiha) frozen chicken. Furthermore, the school cafeteria as well as Tiny's Pizza serve halal chicken.
The MSA strives to build bridges with other organizations on campus, in order to efficiently pursue our common goal of providing service to the Saba community.
